Proximity Lock ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: almost nothing) and how we handle it.

Proximity Lock is designed with privacy-first principles. All communication between your iPhone and Mac happens via Bluetooth — no data is ever sent to any cloud server.

2. Data We Collect

The app processes the following data locally on your devices only:

• Bluetooth Signal Strength (RSSI): Used to estimate distance between your iPhone and Mac. Never leaves your device.
• Device Identifiers: Local UUID used for Bluetooth pairing. Not linked to your Apple ID or any personal information.
• Activity Logs: Lock/unlock events are stored locally on your device and can be cleared at any time.

3. Bluetooth Usage

Proximity Lock uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to:

• Detect proximity between your iPhone and Mac
• Trigger auto-lock when you walk away
• Enable remote lock/sleep commands
• Power Café Mode anti-theft alerts

Bluetooth data is processed in real-time and is not stored or transmitted externally.

4. Third-Party Services

Proximity Lock does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not share any data with third parties.

The only external service involved is the Apple App Store for purchase and subscription management, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

5. Children's Privacy

Proximity Lock does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not collect personal information from anyone.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
